How to Apply

  • The application for the Fall August 2018 cohort will be available online Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 8:00 am through Friday, October 26, 2018 at 8:00 am*
  • PLEASE NOTE: Applications will not be accepted after 8:00 am on Friday, October 26, 2018.

  • Applicant is a graduate of a BSN program OR is currently enrolled in an MSN program with a BSN equivalent attained.
  • Applicant is BSN-prepared RN with a total of less than six months of nursing experience in any area by the start of the program.
  • Applicant has a valid BLS for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association. NO EXCEPTIONS. A valid American Heart Association BLS card must be presented at the time of hire.
  • Fall August 2018 cohort:
    • Last day for NCLEX completion is Friday, August 10, 2018
    • A California RN license must be issued to each applicant by Monday, August 20, 2018 by 5:00 pm
  • The listed required certifications will be discussed upon hiring prior to the start of the program**

  • To access the application
    • Go to careers.llu.edu
    • Click on Find a job and search for keyword Graduate Nurse.
  • Within the application for Graduate Nurse, you will be able to indicate which unit you are applying for. You may apply for one (1) unit only. **Note: Depending on unit needs, not every unit will hire for each RN Residency. Contact Nurse Recruiter for details.
  • You MUST attach your letters of recommendation to your application before submitting. Failure to so will result in the disqualification of your application.
  • Application will shut down promptly at 8:00 am on Friday, October 26, 2018.

Two letters of recommendation (preferably on letterhead) from clinical instructors must be uploaded in a SINGLE FILE to your application for a max size of 2MB. If you can only obtain one letter of recommendation from a clinical instructor, the second can be from an employer. This must be submitted PRIOR to submitting your application. Failure to upload the required documents will result in a disqualification of your application.

  • Please ensure contact information (phone number and email) of reference is included on each letter of recommendation.
  • After your application has been reviewed, you will be notified if you have been selected for a formal interview.
